The
Words, the Paper, and the Pen
The
words, the paper, and the pen have all become strangers,
As
if they have never worked together before.
Devastation
is all they can see.
The
familiar securities are lost in a river of unrecognizable garble.
The
paper, the words, and the pen have all become strangers,
As
if they know not how to describe.
They
have never been here before.
They
exist lost in emptiness, afraid of the unknown.
The
pen, the paper, and the words have all become strangers,
As
if they will never work together again.
They
search inside of my mind for answers,
But
not even my heart can understand.
