You Can’t Stop the Dreamer
I’ve always dreamt.
I’ve always believed.
It comes from deep within.
It’s who I am.
Somehow I know that there’s a way.
Somehow a possibility will prevail,
A dream has a chance to become real.
This is how I live.
I used to teach good things happen to good people.
I believe that.
Dreamers are good people.
I cannot be free without my dreams.
For they extend my mind to reach out of that box
That others dare not leave.
And only then can my heart and soul be happy.
This is my world.
I’ve tried to change,
I know others have difficulty around me.
They do not understand my world.
They do not understand me.
But I have learned,
Say what you will,
I cannot change.
I will not change.
For you can’t stop the dreamer.
